Psalm 86:8-10
New International Version (NIV)
8 Among the gods there is none like you, Lord;
no deeds can compare with yours.
9 All the nations you have made
will come and worship before you, Lord;
they will bring glory to your name.
10 For you are great and do marvelous deeds;
you alone are God.
We all worship; yes we all worship. We worship something; someone or someplace. We worship football, basketball, baseball and etc. Some worship the players, some worship actors and actresses. I could name things for ever.
Worship is reverent devotion and allegiance pledged to God or a god.
We worship God in church, through music, through His Word, through prayer. He is worthy of our Worship. He was crucified and resurrected for us.
If we can get fired up and excited about ball games and movies and people then why is so hard for us to get fired up and excited about God?
Our churches should be filled on Sunday mornings with people sold out and devoted to our wonderful and mighty Savior. We should be ready to worship as it should be a daily event; part of our dna.
So let’s worship with true hearts and it doesn’t matter how you worship. You can stand, kneel, bow, raise one or both hands, dance, open or close your eyes. It doesn’t matter if you worship from a grateful heart for what God did and does for you and I.
Worship God and not man and see what God will do in your life.
Keep it real
Todd
