Are we to busy to pray? Have we quit praying as a family at our meals?
We live in a microwave world. We want it fast, we want it now..we are living our lives in through fast food drive through lanes.
We don’t like waiting. We don’t like waiting on snail mail. We don’t like it when we have to order something that is out of stock.
We need to learn and live out what it means to wait on the Lord:
1 I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. 2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. 3 He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.
Psalms 40:1-3 (NIV)
We need to take time and wait on the Lord, spend time with Him praying together, reading His word and worshipping Him.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
Psalms 34:8 (NIV)
To taste and see means we have to slow down, turn the tv off, turn our ipods, ipads, iphones and etc. off and soak in God and His word; taste it and see How good He is.
Make the time
Keep it real
